About Us

Sara Morris, of Whimsical Sisters, is an artist, entrepreneur, and positive thinker.  She lives in Tucson, Arizona, where she creates art, paints anything that slows down, makes some great jewelry and writes stuff.

Before coming to Arizona, Sara began and operated several high fashion retail women’s clothing, millinery, and accessories boutiques in shopping malls in Oklahoma City and Dallas in the 80’s.  The concept was clothing in solid colors and the sky was the limit for accessories.  In 1989, she and her sister formed a jewelry design company called Whimsical Sisters.  She went on the road with her colorful trinkets, later found reps in several states and also sold at the Dallas Market.  In the early 90’s she and a creative former employee who later became her pal, collaborated on a design shop where her friend designed stunning clothing and Sara designed extraordinary jewelry.  Fun was had by all and they did really good work in a little shop called Girlfriends.

In the late 90’s, Sara moved to Arizona, where her family had been congregating since the 60’s.  She thought painting furniture would be a good change but soon decided painting glassware was a more fun canvas.  She and Bogie, the best and most photographed dog on earth, kept the Whimsical Sisters name and sold her famous hand-painted glassware in arts festivals, on the Internet, and in stores across the country for the next 13 years.  Several years ago, she started playing with her beads again, and after some serious stringing and restringing and adding some spectacular components to the beads, she put jewelry back onto her shelves.  Then she published a book of affirmations for women, The Make-Up Book, to add to the growing collection.  Sara now has added even more positive products and gifts to jog the memory or spark the mind.

The glassware, jewelry, the book, Remind-the-mind gifts, and all the other stuff are sold online, in her studio and in several other shops/galleries in Tucson.
