About Our Hand-Painted Glassware

Since 1997 the artist has hand-painted her original designs on the glassware with one of two painting techniques. One is an air-dry permanent enamel which produces an opaque finish. The glass is first primed, then painted several times and topped with a high gloss glaze. It must cure for 10 days before the first washing. The other paint which turns out translucent, is painted on, dries for 24 hours and is then baked on. Both painting techniques produce durable, dishwasher safe glassware. However your hand-painted glassware art will probably look better longer if hand-washed with tender loving care.
